I've been writing since 2002.
Joining the UK's Romantic
Novelists Association was
definitely one of my best moves.
After several manuscript
attempts through the RNA's New
Writers' Scheme I succeeded in
2007 when my first book Taking
The Leap came out with Moonlit
Romance.
Taking The Leap
Practice nurse Anya Fraser's
adopted son is at the centre of
her life. But when her new
senior partner, Dr Max Calder
arrives at work, distracting her
in too many ways, suddenly her
anti-relationship mantra isn't
working. Max volunteers to help
her succeed at the charity
parachute jump she's so
terrified of and attraction
simmers from the off. Taking a
leap of faith has never proved
so scary nor so attractive --
how will they cope with the
challenge of working together
and taking to the skies? And
resisting a future their pasts
taught them to avoid?
The Confetti Countdown
Felicity
Truro's diary is fast filling up
with problems. First there's the
ugliest bridesmaid's dress in
the world, then there's her sick
aunt's serious secret. But it's
Rod McAllister, the handsome
firefighter best man with
attitude, who's melting her
willpower and frazzling her
nerves the most.
Can Flick survive being a
bridesmaid for the eleventh time
whilst falling for the groom's
aide for real? And how will she
cope when Rod needs a stand-in
and she's promoted to top of the
candidate list?
A Night To Remember
What
happens when a fancy dress
hen-night goes wrong? A night to
remember. Candis Magazine's
Short Story - September 2007.
Advice
for Budding Authors
After completing my first
manuscript and whilst working
out what direction I needed to
take next I approached a
critique service. I used
The
Hilary Johnson Authors' Advisory
Service. It provides an
excellent, highly recommended
critique service.
If you feel you need objective
help - my advice is go for it!
